Minute to the Secretary, Department of the Taoiseach, from the Garda Siochana, giving details of the condition of Mrs Margaret Fagan, 29 December 1938. She is living with her unmarried daughter in a flat in number 35 Fitzwilliam Place, Dublin. She has a son and a married daughter, neither of whom give her any support. Her sole income is 10/ per week Old Age Pension and `she appears to be in very poor financial circumstances'.

She is unable to attend the meeting tomorrow. `Late (9 o'c) Monday night I got word of Mass next morning at the Cathedral and a notice of one 22 inst for Gen. Collins, 12 days notice for the latter, it has always been so, anything would do for A.G'. Her son and daughter she writes are to be placed in the first row. `They are to be placed to be in place of honour, centre facing cenotaph'.
