Note from the Department of the Taoiseach to each member of staff, 28 May 1941, stating that the leave arrangements for 1941 to 1942 have been provisionally approved. However, 'in view of the Emergency it may be necessary to cancel or vary the arrangements at short notice. Members of the staff are warned, therefore, to avoid entering into any financial commitments as compensation will not be payable'. Ten female members of staff are referred to in the list.
