Report of the records held in the Strong Rooms relating to Dáil Éireann 1919-1921, compiled May 1939. For example, room 004, press 23, contains summaries of statistics relating to attacks on barracks, murders, damage to property etc., from the period January 1920-June 1921. These were prepared by Miss S Murphy when she was attached to the DáilDepartment of Publicity.

Description:

Copy despatch to the Minister for External Affairs, Irish Free State, from LS Amery, Dominions Office, 22 December 1928, relating to the question of the endorsement of the passport of Arthur James Cook, Secretary, Miners Federation. An enclosed memorandum gives particulars of Cook's past history and his association with `extremist movements'. For example, the memorandum states that during October 1928 Cook was suffering from ill-health and took a rest, staying with Mrs Despard in Ireland.
