Copy despatch to the Minister for External Affairs, Irish Free State, from LS Amery, Dominions Office, 22 December 1928, relating to the question of the endorsement of the passport of Arthur James Cook, Secretary, Miners Federation. An enclosed memorandum gives particulars of Cook's past history and his association with `extremist movements'. For example, the memorandum states that during October 1928 Cook was suffering from ill-health and took a rest, staying with Mrs Despard in Ireland. |
