Eleventh Annual Report of the Arts Council for the period covering 1 April 1962 to 31 March 1962. The aims and objectives of the Arts Council are outlined on the opening page of the Report. It also provides a detailed list of the projects and artists who were assisted by the Council during the period under discussion, for example, 'Mrs Bea Trench in connection with courses in crafts, painting, music and drama for national schoolteachers conducted by her in the summer of 1962 at Termonfeckin, County Louth'. The following individuals were also recipients of aid: Dr Seoirse Bodley, Miss Brighid Mooney and Miss Aisling Drury Byrne. Grainne Ni Eigeartaigh gave a lecture entitled 'Irish Harp Music and Song'. |
