Letter from Father Senan, Mount Lawley, Western Australia, to the Taoiseach, Sean F Lemass, 1 August 1963, relating to an American nun named Sister M Dolorine who will celebrate the seventy-fifth anniversary of her entry into the Congregation of the Sisters of Loretto. He outlines her family background and asks the Taoiseach to send her a message of congratulations. 'Sister M Dolorine's father was a native of County Antrim ... He was captured by the British in 1848 ... returned to the United States and eventually became Territorial Governor of New Mexico. All her long life (she will be ninety-five in October) she has been devoted to Ireland'.
