'I was just a little girl in Ireland in the seventies, and I saw that great Irish patriot, Stewart Parnell, as he was escorted to prison for daring to speak boldly for the Irish cause; and now with your help Ireland is free at last'. She also encloses a copy of a book which she wrote about her life in the Philippines.
