'Typists have opportunities of promotion to Shorthand-Typist and all these grades have opportunities of promotion to the Clerical Officer Grade'. Page 23 of the pamphlet deals with the reinstatement of widows in the Civil Service. 'A woman who resigns to get married and later becomes a widow may, subject to a means test, be re-appointed if she is not beyond normal age for re-instatement'. |

The letter provides a brief account of seven assaults which took place in the Dublin area.
