She requested the name of a suitable Minister whom she might approach to open the Society's annual convention. She also referred to the possibility of the Taoiseach receiving Mr Gonard, President of the International Red Cross.

'We are moving tomorrow to the new Headquarters at 16 Merrion Square which the Government has so generously purchased, decorated and finished for the Society'. She also asks if the building is to become the property of the Society.

'It is the practice in cases of this kind for the Commissioners of Public Works to remain the owners of the property concerned and for the occupying institution to pay a rent to the Commissioners, economic or otherwise'.
