Memorandum from the Department of Transport and Energy to the Government regarding the proposed increase in the pensions paid to existing CIE regular wage grade pensioners. In the memorandum reference is made to female members who pay a reduced contribution to the schemes and receive a correspondingly reduced pension. However, the number of female members in the scheme is small.
