Letter to `Dear Sir' from Mrs MG Wace, Enniskerry, County Wicklow, 4 May 1961, relating to the Powerscourt estate. `It occurs to me that though the Govt cannot afford to purchase the Powerscourt estate, it might well afford the purchase of that part of the deer-park in which is the Waterfall - the great part already belongs tot he Forestry Dept. The price should not be high as many possible buyers of the estate would consider the Waterfall as a white elephant. The entrance money wd pay for the upkeep & eventually, the cost, and the nation would own a very valuable amenity'.
